INFORMATION ABOUT THE OUTSTATION
Head of Station:Dr.Koyejo Olubunmi
The establishment of the station was proposed in 1980 and was finally established in 1981 on a five (5) hectares of land donated by the Rivers State Government.
The station has been working on the development of the techniques for the propagation of tropical tree species of economic benefits. Research studies on the growth characteristics and regeneration of mangroves and other tropical tree species are being carried out. Soil characteristics and classification has also been done.
